May 21st 2015 is Global Accessibility Awareness Day.

The day is all about getting more people talking, thinking and learning about digital (web, software, mobile, etc.) accessibility and users with different disabilities.

Millions of people around the world cant read the web and we can help these people by making your website more accessible. Just create sometime to make some small changes that would assist users worldwide:
  • Create captions/transcripts for your video like this video

  • Use headings correctly
  • Use alt text
  • When using tables only use them for tabular data and not layout
  • No click heres
There is much more you can do and if you need any further information come and speak to us. If you have 5 minutes take the 'no mouse challenge'  - Try using a website  without a mouse, use the keyboard instead.

As you do this, ask the following questions:

  • Can I access all features?
  • Can I operate all buttons, sliders, and other controls?
  • Can I easily tell where I am on the page?
