Digital signage - University template
A new web based template is now available for digital signage screens across campus using the OneLan system. The template is completely web based which makes the day to day running of the screen quick and easy. All the content displayed by the screens is delivered by Plone, the University's content management system.
Slideshow
The most prominent part of the template is the slideshow, which can be used to display images, videos or any web based content. Templates for the slideshow are available from the University's image library or you can create your own.
Weather and time
The current time and weather are displayed in the top right corner
Departmental news
A vertical scrolling box underneath the weather displays an RSS feed of current news stories
University news
A horizontal scrolling box across the bottom of the screen displays news stories of interest to students, this news is written centrally by the University.
