We’ve been getting some reports recently that YouTube videos (and other kinds of content that you can embed into webpages) are disappearing, even though the Plone page hasn’t been updated recently.
New re-design for Student Record System
During the summer the University's central Student Record System has undergone a major re-design. The system uses a web based version of SITS known as eVision. The new design is scheduled to go live soon.

This week IT Services have upgraded the University’s default web browser from Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) to Internet Explorer 9 (IE9).

Mobile app phase two
We launched the University of Leicester’s first mobile app in October 2012. The app has been created for current and prospective students and University visitors. In the first two months we had more than 3,000 downloads.
Persistent spinners and broken Twitter feeds
If you see the spinner persistently displayed on a Plone page when you are logged in, fixing a broken Twitter RSS feed may resolve it.
Digital signage - University template
A new web based template is now available for digital signage screens across campus using the OneLan system. The template is completely web based which makes the day to day running of the screen quick and easy. All the content displayed by the screens is delivered by Plone, the University's content management system.
