Methods for resizing images

Recommended Methods

AssetBank

Any image on the University's image library (AssetBank) can be resized automatically into the appropriate dimensions for your web page when you download it. This is by far the quickest and easiest method for resizing images.

However this method obviously only applies to images that are available in AssetBank. If you'd like to resize images that are not available on AssetBank then you'll need to use one of the other methods described below.

Photoshop Elements

The best method for resizing images is to use Adobe Photoshop Elements. This is available to all members of University staff from CFS Software (Start > All Programs > CFS Software 2 > Select & Remove Software).

Photoshop Elements is supported by the university. There are step-by-step tutorials available in the Image Tutorials section of the Web Centre.
