Improving our websites

We are making significant changes to our corporate websites. We want our public customers to have a better online experience and our staff to be able to work and collaborate more efficiently.

Our aim is for all our websites to be:

  • user-focused - serving the needs of the user rather than the needs of the publisher
  • task-focused - key tasks made prominent and easy to complete
  • smaller - out of date and extraneous content stripped away
  • simpler - content organized logically, clear navigation, no duplication or broken links
  • more engaging - better page lay-out, clear hierarchy of content, easier to read
  • better managed - governance and standards to ensure content quality is raised and maintained

Help us with our research

Understanding our users is crucial. We need to know who they are, what their motivations are and how they behave when they use our websites and services.

We’re looking for people (public, students and staff) to help us with website usability studies. If you’d like to help please send us your details using the form below and we may be in touch. Alternatively contact Matt Alexander.

We won’t share your email and will only contact you about website user research. For larger studies we may offer compensation for your time.

Thanks for sending your details. We'll be in touch soon.
