There are lots of ways to meet new people when you get to university. Find out how we can help and support you during your transition to university life.

In halls of residences

The Residence Life Team are on hand to offer support and help whilst you are in Halls of Residences.

Societies

Meet others with a similar hobby or discover a completely new interest in one of the Students’ Union’s  student groups. See the Students' Union website for a list of groups and how to join.

Religious or spiritual

The team of chaplains offer support and encouragement, whatever your faith, or if you do not have one. Email chaplaincy@le.ac.uk, call 0116 285 6493 or visit us at The Gatehouse, opposite Entrance 2 on University Road.

Workshop - Making connections/friends

Discover strategies on how to connect with other people when at university in order to build networks and friendships,  explore the challenges and opportunities in sharing accommodation with other students, and find out more about the opportunities of group work. The workshops take place at 2.30pm on 24 October and 14 November at Oadby Student Village. All are welcome, whether you live in student accommodation or not. To book, email ra-oadby@le.ac.uk
