It’s no April fool: we’re giving away an iPad in our spring competition for current University of Leicester students.

All you need to do is follow @leicstudentlife on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Then send a direct message to any @leicstudentlife channel with your name, student ID number, and handles for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

@leicstudentlife showcases the best of the University’s events, activities and community and is a great way for you to stay connected.

The closing date for entries is Thursday 30 April 2020 at 11.59pm: you must be following all three channels at this date and time to be eligible. One winner will then be drawn at random to win a 10.2 inch 32GB iPad.

  1. The promoter is: University of Leicester whose registered office is at University of Leicester, University Road, Leicester, LE1 7RH
  2. One winner will receive a 10.2 inch 32GB iPad
  3. Entrants must be a current University of Leicester student.
  4. Entrants must be aged 16 or over on the competition closing date.
  5. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  6. Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are on the competition’s student announcement.
  7. Start date for the competition is Wednesday 1 April 2020, 5.00pm BST . Closing date for entry will be Thursday 30 April 2020, 11.59pm BST. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
  8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  9. The rules of the competition: to enter the competition, follow @leicstudentlife accounts on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook between Wednesday 1 April 2020, 5.00pm BST, and Thursday 30 April 2020, 11.59pm BST. You then need to direct message @leicstudentlife with your social media handles for Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, along with your student ID number and name. You must be a follower of @leicstudentlife Facebook, Instagram and Twitter channels on Thursday 30 April 2020 at 11.59 BST in order to be eligible.
  10. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  11. No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prize is not transferable. The competition prize is subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  12. The one winner will be chosen at random by the number generator.
  13. The one winner will be notified through their University email address within 28 days of the closing date. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  14. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  15. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  16. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  17. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  18. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  19. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any other social network. You are providing your information to the University of Leicester and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the University's Privacy Policy.
