If you're new to Leicester, welcome! We hope you soon feel settled and at home. Here's a handy list of what you need to do now you have arrived.

  • Arrange to pay your fees
  • Complete online registration, including uploading a photo on My Student Record.
  • Attend your ID check or visa checkpoint in the Charles Wilson Building foyer, bringing along your documents: UK students: passport or UK long birth certificate, EEA or Swiss students: passport or national identity card, international students: passport and visa.
  • Register with the police, if it is a condition of your visa.
  • Get vaccinated: UK students – check that you have had your MMR and meningitis vaccinations, EEA/Swiss/international students – check with your doctor.
  • View your timetable on the Outlook or My UoL apps, Outlook on a computer or webmail.le.ac.uk, one you have completed registration. See www.le.ac.uk/my-timetable for more information.
  • Let us know if you have a specific learning difficulty, a diagnosed mental health or long term condition, or condition on the autistic spectrum, so we can support you from when you arrive.

Events on campus

We've got many welcome events and support to help you to find your feet including campus tours, Living in the UK Welcome workshops, fairs, information point and a Global Welcome cafe. See www.le.ac.uk/student-events for more details about these and events throughout the year.
