Read at Leicester: We’ve Got Issues Podcast
Read at Leicester is the David Wilson Library’s campaign to encourage students to enjoy reading literature. The aim is to bring the University together to experience books and novels as creative expression. They run regular events, such as book-sharing, as well as more recently blogging online.
They support a podcast dedicated to graphic novels called We’ve Got Issues. It’s hosted by Dr Esther De Dauw and Dr Leighan Renaud and Sarah Stevens. The discussion is light-hearted as they and regular guests share personal feelings about a specially selected graphic novel each episode.
The latest episode discusses Melanie Gillman’s As the Crow Flies – a thoughtful coming-of-age tale featuring LGBTQ+ themes, religion and stunning artwork.
You can check out the episode here.
