Integrated and inclusive support to help you to thrive

Student Support Services provide an integrated and inclusive range of support, guidance and advice for all University of Leicester students. See below for how we can continue to support you to thrive over the summer.

Coronavirus related

Please report any COVID-19 symptoms or self-isolation. We can then identify ways to best support you.

We have made a commitment to provide free temporary accommodation if you have been affected domestic violence during the current lockdown restrictions. To access support and to find out more visit Report and Support.

If you are experiencing financial hardship because of COVID-19, or are an estranged student, care leaver, or have urgent accommodation issues, speak to a welfare adviser by emailing to discuss your personal circumstances in more detail.

One student who received financial support stated: “With the extensive help of welfare officer…I have received the hardship award. This has helped me to stop worrying about the bills that I had to pay and encouraged me to concentrate on studying…”

Student counselling and wellbeing

We can provide a range of options to support your mental wellbeing. In discussion with you, we will help you to find the most appropriate option to explore and understand more clearly issues which concern you. Contact the wellbeing team at

Report and Support

We know unacceptable behaviours can continue even when we are off campus. Our Standing Together team continue to offer tailored and sensitive support for students affected by all kinds of unacceptable behaviours. To request contact from a trained case worker, please disclose some brief information and your email address on our online disclosure tool, Report & Support.
