Do you want to participate in a revolutionary approach to engaging girls with careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM)?

The University is launching a new outreach programme to raise awareness amongst girls about the career opportunities available to them in STEM. Designed by WISE (Women in Science and Engineering), the People Like Me programme aims to support the recruitment of girls into STEM subject’s post-16.

The resource has already been delivered to over 6,500 girls around the UK by a range of partners. To launch the initiative, we are seeking 15 student and staff volunteer ambassadors to be trained to deliver People Like Me sessions to local schools.

The People Like Me Ambassador training session will be held on Monday 26 November 2018. If you are interested in applying, you must be available on this day.

To apply to become an ambassador please complete the application form by 12pm on Friday 26 October 2018. Have a look at the webpage to find out more information.
