Resources to support you in your academic work

For many, studying from home takes time to get used to, particularly where to get support or resources away from campus. However, there are lots of tools to help you to work effectively.

Do you need some advice on any of the following?

  • maths and statistics
  • academic writing
  • dissertations, projects and assignments
  • study skills and preparing for exams
  • referencing and finding information.

The Academic Skills Centre can help, providing one-on-one appointments with you on Blackboard Collaborate, phone or email. To get help from one of our advisers, request an appointment or email studyhelp@le.ac.uk.

Although the David Wilson Library is closed, there’s wide-ranging e-books and journals you still have access to. Use library search on the library homepage to search and access digital library resources. You will need to use your IT username and password. If you have any problems email library@le.ac.uk.

You can also access your email, Blackboard, online versions of Office 365 (including Word and Excel), and your personal Z drive away from campus.

Discover the type of learner you are and download a revision planner from the Students’ Union’s website. Knowing how you learn best helps to make your study more effective and enjoyable.

What helps you to study? Email studentexperience@le.ac.uk or let us know @leicstudentlife.
