The week of the 13-17 November is national anti-bullying week and we are committing to stand together against bullying wherever it occurs.

On Monday 13 November we will hold a joint staff and student event between 10am and 2.30pm where you can find out more from internal and external organisations and sign the pledge.

This event will commence at 10am in the Belvoir Park Lounge, 2nd Floor, Charles Wilson Building and will be opened by President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Paul Boyle, who will sign our anti-bullying pledge alongside our Director of HR Kate Bradley and the Chief Executive Officer of the Students’ Union.

We are calling for people from across the University to come along to the event and sign the pledge and if they wish share their experiences.

Key stakeholders, internal and external to the University have been invited to have a stand at the event to showcase how they can help and support staff and students. These will include Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, LGBT Centre, Student Union, Student Support Services, Staff Health and Wellbeing, Unison, Unite and UCU and CIC staff counselling services.

Standing Together is our new approach to making our University a much better place to work, learn and study.
