Sock It to Eating Disorders

This year, the University of Leicester will be supporting Beat! Eating Disorders on Wednesday 28 February

Dig out your brightest, boldest socks on Wednesday 28 February for Eating Disorders Awareness Week and help Beat provide support, tackle barriers to desperately needed treatment, and challenge the stigma. By wearing your socks to work and donating to Beat you play a vital role in ending pain and suffering. It’s that simple.

We will be hosting a stand in the Students’ Union to raise awareness and provide information on how you can make a difference. We know that the sooner someone gets help, the faster they can recover, lessening the impact on their life, family and future.

If you forget your socks on the day, or just fancy a new pair – we will have a sock shop on the day so that for a small donation, you can make a difference! If you don’t have any change you can also text EDAW75 followed by £1 £2 £3 or £5 to 70070.

Don’t forget to tell you colleagues and friends to raise awareness using #SockItToEatingDisorders and see what’s happening all over the UK.
