Add to your skills whilst helping your fellow students.

Students can now sign up to training sessions to become a peer mentor for the next academic year. The mentoring scheme acts a friendly way for new students to feel welcomed as they start a new exciting chapter of their life. A mentor will act as a sign poster and somebody who can provide advice on anything from the best place to get cheap food to effective methods of revision. Whilst making a difference to a new students’ experience at University you will be gaining transferable skills and boosting your employment opportunities.

All mentors need to have completed this training before they can undertake this voluntary role. Therefore, if you are interested in this scheme please find a suitable date and sign up here. Please only sign up if you anticipate that you will be a student in the 18/19 academic year.
