Race Into Action Sessions - Added Dates
Further to the success of the previous Race into Action training sessions, we have organised two further dates:
- 9 May 2019 – 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm: Ken Edwards Building, 5th Floor, Room 501
- 5 June 2019 – 10.30 am to 1.00 pm: Ken Edwards Building, 3rd Floor, Room 301
The workshop provides an introduction to key concepts and themes relating to race. It draws on insights from behavioural science as well as practical suggestions to increase participants awareness, understanding and confidence to engage in action to advance race equality. Both staff and students are invited to promote a space which brings together varying perspectives.
The training will instigate conversations about race to create a inclusive approach to address racial inequalities, and is part of the University’s wider commitment to promote race awareness and equality.
The sessions are open to students and staff across all levels and areas of the University.
