Quench your thirst for knowledge as the international event comes to Leicester or the first time.

Tickets are now available for Pint of Science Festival - a three-day celebration of all things scientific taking place in pubs across Leicester.

The event is part of an international collective taking place in 300 cities across 24 countries. It’s a chance to meet scientists from all disciplines, listen to the fascinating research going on around Leicester, and talk about the future of science, all whilst enjoying delicious beverages in a fun, friendly environment (alcohol or alcohol-free!).

University of Leicester researchers will be speaking in three locations:

  • The Lansdowne (approx. 10 minutes from campus).
  • Manhattan34 (City Centre)
  • Spirits Bar (Cultural Quarter)

Each bar will play host to its own theme and attendees can expect a variety exciting talks including: updates on the next space mission by Dr Leigh Fletcher; the future of understanding and treating lung disease by Prof. Martin Tobin; and how a pacemaker could offer an escape from OCD by Dr Annemieke Apergis-Schoute.

Alongside the main talks, each evening will also include engaging stories, fun activities, and science-themed quizzes with prizes to be won!

Tickets cost £4 and it's anticipated they’ll sell quickly so blast your way over to get one ASAP.

It’s open to everyone, not just those with a science background!
