Midlands4Cities is a doctoral training partnership across universities in Leicester, Nottingham, Coventry and Birmingham which funds PhD studentships for arts and humanities students

Applications are now open for Midlands4Cities Doctoral Training Partnerships- a studentship scheme providing research candidates with enhanced mentoring, subject skills training and support in preparing for a career.

We are keen to receive applications for the next academic year from prospective research students looking to complete a PhD with research focusing around arts and humanities topics, which are available to receive funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).

The studentships enable excellent students to become part of the thriving community of postgraduate research students at the University of Leicester who are producing world-class research.

There are up to 92 PhD studentships available for UK and EU applicants, and the deadline for applications is 14 January 2019.

On 10 November, an Application Writing Workshop and Guidance session will take place at De Montfort University for students from the city of Leicester interested in applying for M4C funding.

The workshop aims to provide prospective applicants with the opportunity to discuss the application process, and to find the necessary guidance on applications in the early stages. It will be delivered by academic staff, with additional support and information provided by current doctoral students, including AHRC-funded students.

Further information about M4C at the University of Leicester can be found here.
