The US travel ban on people from various countries across the world has caused a lot of discussion. In this post, President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Paul Boyle makes a statement on behalf of the University.

Dear all
We are an international and inclusive community here at Leicester.  We are proud to welcome students from around the world, from many cultures and of many faiths, and we promote international equality and diversity amongst both staff and students.

Like many other universities, we have asked our association, Universities UK, to speak out against this order at a national and international level.

If you plan to travel to the US in the next 90 days on a passport issued by one of the banned countries, you should contact the relevant Embassy, or the US Embassy in London. Updated information on the US Executive order appears on the US Embassy website.
