LGBT+ History Month

Posted by crm28 at Feb 01, 2017 04:35 PM |
This February we are marking 50 years since the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality and celebrating the diversity of our staff and students.

LGBT+ History Month starts today and we are proud to be hosting a series of events exploring LGBT+ identities. Our packed schedule includes film screenings, social events, guest lectures and research seminars which are free for all staff and students to attend.

Highlights include a screening of Rolla Selback’s award winning film Three Veils followed by a Q&A session with Rolla, a guest lecture by Guardian journalist, feminist and transgender activist Jane Fae and an evening with LGBT+ rights activist Tom Robinson. There will also be informal socials and seminars throughout the month and the opportunity to see Moonlight, one of the most critically acclaimed films of 2016, at the Phoenix cinema for free.

A full list of events can be found at le.ac.uk/institution/lgbt-month.
