University and Students' Union to support mental health awareness 'Time to Talk Day' on Thursday 2 February.

As part of our commitment to the Time to Change Pledge which we signed last year, we would like you to support us in recognising Time To Talk Day which takes place on Thursday 2 February 2017.  The aim of this day is to bring the nation together to get talking and break the silence around mental health problems. It has already sparked millions of conversations in schools, homes, workplaces, sports clubs, in the media and online.

If you would like to get involved, between 10.00 am and 3.00 pm on Thursday 2 February, we are inviting staff and students to write about how they are feeling on our Time to Talk Wall in the foyer of the Charles Wilson Building. There will also be an opportunity for staff and students to talk to someone.  The feelings shared at this event will be used to inform future initiatives relating to mental health awareness.

Please also look out for Time to Talk and mental health awareness information in local areas of work and study. We are also supporting Wellbeing Week which commences on Monday 27 February.
