Being conscious of your health and wellbeing during this time is very important, as regular self-care brings relaxation, calm, and peace to a stressful day. With one in four people experiencing a mental health issue, and with the current climate we are all in, taking care of yourself is paramount.

One easy and accessible way to positively impact your health and wellbeing comes in the form of a podcast. Podcasts can be accessed either through your smartphone, a tablet or a computer, and with an array of topics covered under the umbrella of health and wellbeing, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Couch to 5k – supporting you to gradually build up your stamina so you can run 5k without stopping. You can even be coached by a celebrity, including Jo Whiley, Sarah Milllican and Michael Johnson.

Fit and Fearless – a BBC podcast all about getting fitter, healthier and more confident about your body.

Happier – Gretchen Rubin’s lively and thought provoking podcast gives practical, manageable advice about happiness

Happy Place with Fearne CottonFearne draws on her own experiences and interviews others on how to work through difficult feelings and look after your mental health.

How to Fail with Elizabeth Day – Elizabeth Day’s interviews celebrate what hasn’t gone right and how to learn from failures to succeed in the future.

Leics Quarantine and Chill – created by our very own Students’ Union, covering topics such as anxiety, working from home, exercise, connecting with loved ones, and self-isolation. You can also join the accompanying Facebook group
