Leicester Heroes vs Blood Cancer (Stem Cell Registry)
Every 20 minutes someone in the UK finds out they have blood cancer (leukaemia). Treatment is complicated but in some cases they may need a stem cell donation. Later this month we'll be holding sign-ups for students who are interested in becoming a potential stem cell donor.
When:
Tuesday 30 April, 10.00am-4.00pm.
Where:
David Wilson Library Reading Zone
George Davies Centre Foyer
Centenary Square.
How:
Fill in a simple form and provide two mouth swabs. It’s quick, simple and could save a life.
To find out more about the event, signing up to the Anthony Nolan Stem Cell Register or what happens if you’re a stem cell donor match, please visit www.le.ac.uk/stemcell.
