June virtual arts festival: get involved

Call out for students interested in the arts, music, wellbeing, and culture.

Leicester Fiesta is a virtual week long celebration of all things arts and culture taking place between Monday 1 and Friday 5 June.

We need your help to bring Leicester Fiesta online to life; we know there is lots of student talent out there. During this time arts and culture have brought people from across the world together, inspired new hobbies and interests, and promoted wellbeing.

You may have an interest or take part in activities and hobbies relating to arts and culture as a student or outside of this. If you would like to be involved, please see below a list of what we are looking for:

  • Music, dance and drama performances (this can be as a solo performance or as a student group/group) which you would be happy to share with others.
  • Running arts and crafts sessions and tutorials.
  • Showcase of poetry and spoken word as part of a poetry jam.
  • Running a mindfulness activity.
  • Teaching a language.
  • Other suggestions also welcome.

We’re looking for variety; pre-recorded videos are welcome and we can also help arrange for a live performance or session. It may also be that you have something planned to take place towards the end of May, if so, maybe it could tie in with this event?

If you would like to be involved, please register your interest by completing our brief Leicester Fiesta – get involved form.

The Student Participation and Engagement Team will then be in touch to discuss further.

We look forward to hearing from you.
