International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Help us to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Monday by wearing purple and visiting our stand.

The University of Leicester Disability Staff Forum, Students Union and the Attenborough Arts Centre are working together to celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDoPD) on Monday 3 December.

To promote the day we are supporting #Purple Light Up and would like to ask staff and students to wear purple on the day share the message on social media.

Please come and support us at our stand on Monday 3 December from 11.30am-2pm in the Charles Wilson Building, First Floor, outside the Graduate Lounge.  There will be free purple cupcakes, chocolates and activities to engage staff in discussions about disability.

The Students' Union will be carrying out activities and a competition, to raise awareness of what disabled students face. This will take place in the Union Square on Monday 3 December from 11am-3pm, please come and support them.

Attenborough Arts Centre over the weekend 1 and 2 December 2018 have two shows as part of IDoPD that can be booked through the Attenborough Arts Centre website:

The Disability Forum are working to make the University a welcoming, accessible and inclusive place for disabled staff, students and visitors.
