Explore the yarn bomb to find out how to Make the Most of You and to win prizes

You may have noticed that some areas of the University have gained knitted or crocheted decorations - known as a yarn bomb - as part of Make the Most of You month.

Our mascot, Frankie the flamingo, is so excited by the yarn bombing that he's been taking selfies around campus. Check out his photos on our University of Leicester Twitter account throughout the week and see if you can find out where he's been.

Tweet your knitting selfie, between 21-25 November, to @uniofleicester for a chance to win a voucher for the Students' Union diner, using the hashtag #yourmonth. If it's raining, hunt down the knitting in the Students' Union and the library to take a selfie whilst staying dry!

Tags on the knitting tell you why the area has been decorated and the opportunities you can get involved in.

Since August, over 55 students, staff and members of the local community have been knitting or crocheting. These ranged from people who had never knitted to those with over 50 years' experience.

We are working with Learning for the Fourth Age to bring creative knitting-related activities into four Leicester care homes, using student and staff volunteers.
