Global Café: National French Bread Day
A loaf of French bread, known locally as a baguette, is a long, narrow doughy loaf 5-6cm in diameter with a length of roughly 65cm. Its origin is unknown but has become a symbol of French culture, often imitated but never bettered than by traditional French boulangers (that's French for 'bakers').
It’s so good, it even has an entire day named after it – which the Global Café is using as inspiration for their next meeting and you’re invited to join!
The Global Café is an informal get together. It celebrates the diversity of Leicester’s student body and is a chance to improve your language skills, meet other students, and enjoy free drinks and snacks.
The event will take place 21 March at 5.00pm in the Graduate Lounge, First Floor, Charles Wilson Building.
