Free Film Night: Shutter Island
U Matter is a University community engagement project, part of Health Matters. It focuses on running health campaigns within the local community to promote better mental health and wellbeing. They run a number of events throughout the month – one of which will be a free film night screening Shutter Island.
Shutter Island is a psychological thriller directed by Martin Scorsese, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Ben Kingsley. The film focuses on two police detectives sent to Ashcliffe Psychiatric Hospital to investigate the disappearance of a patients. Upon entering, they discover not is all as it seems. Reality inside of the hospital begins to make less sense and they soon discover a secret history of twisted occurrences, including their own.
The screening will take place at 6.30pm on Monday, 25 March at George Davies Centre.
It is free for all students, as well as members of the public.
