Please join us for our next drug and alcohol training session, focusing on alcohol/drug-use in students.

We are running a workshop for personal tutors and other student-facing staff, focusing on alcohol and drug use in students.

The workshop will cover:

  • Types of drugs being used
  • Where are people getting drugs from?
  • Signs of drug use
  • What does the law say?
  • What is the harm reduction approach?
  • What support is available to University students and how to refer.

The workshop will be faciltated by James Edmondston, Substance Misuse Officer, Leicestershire Police. He has a prevention role, working with organisations and young people to raise awareness of drug use. James is also part of our University-wide Alcohol Impact Steering Group, which is working to promote a safe and responsible drinking culture.

Time: 09.30-11.30
