We are hosting a week of events to celebrate the International Day of Disabled People on Tuesday 3 December.

The University’s Disability Staff Forum, Students Union, Attenborough Arts Centre, Staff Health and Wellbeing and the EDI Team are coming together to celebrate disability around the International Day of Disabled People with a week of events and activities.

This date is a United Nations sanctioned day, which is celebrated internationally and aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of disabled people and celebrate their achievements and contributions.

Throughout the year, we will continue to work together to make the university a welcoming, accessible and inclusive place for disabled staff, students and visitors.

The week of events features a concert with an eclectic mix of genres, styles and sensory experiences, a short films festival, which showcases the work of disabled creators as well as a ten theatre workshop performance. For a full lowdown of the events and how to book, please visit the dedicated website.
