Travelling home this Christmas.

The Government has outlined guidance for universities to manage student plans to travel home at Christmas.
The University will now take forward its plans to make sure all those who want to leave their Leicester homes at the end of term can do so and will share them early next week.
The ‘student travel window’ will run from 3 December to 9 December, and be staggered, to prevent everyone moving at once, to maximise protection against COVID-19.

University of Leicester Registrar and Secretary, Geoff Green, said: “We want to reassure staff and students that we are prepared, we now need to make sure we put the details in place, so those who want to go home for Christmas can do so safely.

“And those who would like to stay here during the holiday, we will have a team on hand to help you make the most of this time.”
The university screening programme continues, for those who do not have symptoms of COVID-19.
