Take part in study

Last year the Vice Chancellor Nishan Canagarajah commissioned the Centre for Hate Studies to explore students’ experiences of harassment at the University of Leicester. As a current student, we want to hear from you if you feel that you have been targeted on the basis of your identity or perceived ‘difference’ during your time at Leicester. We will use the findings to make recommendations for change that you feel are important, relevant and necessary.

It is important to note that this project is not related to Covid-19. We are exploring targeted harassment in its broadest sense, with examples including offensive language, verbal abuse, physical intimidation, violence and sexual assault.

You can share your experiences through our survey which should take no longer than five minutes to complete.

We would also really appreciate your support in circulating this amongst your fellow University of Leicester students via social media or email correspondence.
