We are pleased to announce that the new University Bike Park is being launched on May 8th as part of a week of cycling-related events when you’ll be able to get your bike fixed, pick up info and freebies and learn how to fix your own bike.

For more information and to register for access to the Bike Park, visit the Bike Park website.

Come and see the stalls on the library podium next week to get your bike fixed for free, attend a bike maintenance workshop or just pick up some cycle-freebies.

Estates realised early on that the Library podium project, which was originally designed to improve access routes and to undertake essential work on the underground infrastructure, provided a great opportunity to make great use of the space that was being dug out by developing a (literally) ground-breaking underground park for over 300 bikes and are thrilled to see it come to life.

The park will keep bikes protected all day on the unique two-tier racks whilst their owners work and study. New cycle lanes have also being laid on Campus to make cycling to the new park as safe as possible.
