Life Beyond the PhD: conference place available
The Graduate School is offering a fully-funded place for one University of Leicester PhD student to attend the 2012 Cumberland Lodge 'Life Beyond the PhD' conference. This includes shared accommodation and meals for the duration of the conference as well as standard class rail travel between Leicester and Cumberland Lodge.
Cumberland Lodge has developed a unique celebration of the postgraduate research culture in the UK. Each year they set aside four days in August and invite PhD students to hear leading public figures recount the life decisions they made after their PhDs, as well as hearing from experts in higher education policy, communication, career development, and impact.
To apply, simply email a copy of your Curriculum Vitae together with a brief explanation (200 words) as to why you'd like to attend the conference to graduatedean@le.ac.uk
