Free student arts workshops – 19 and 20 March

Posted by nm365 at Mar 16, 2018 12:32 PM |

Relax with two free student arts workshops on 19 and 20 March

The first, ‘How to make the invisible, visible’, looks at how emotions and experiences can be made into something more visible, such as painting. Taking place on 19 March, between 4.00pm and 6.00pm, in the Attenborough Arts Centre studio, bring along an object that invokes a strong emotion.

Discover the art of body painting – onto a face or mannequin – on 20 March. Come along anytime between 10.00am and 3.00pm to get creative - including creating your design and learning body painting techniques.

To book your place on either workshop, visit the Attenborough Arts website

Graduating in July 2018? Find out all you need to know about your graduation

Posted by nm365 at Mar 12, 2018 11:19 AM |

Graduation is one of the most exciting and important parts of your university journey; it's the point where you celebrate your achievements and signifies the end of your university journey.

In the lead up to graduation you'll have lots of questions - what happens on the day? Can I have more tickets? Where do I get my gown from? What can I do if I've not figured out what to do after I graduate?

On 14 March we will be holding short talks between 9.00am and 3.00pm (50 minute sessions) alongside a graduation exhibition between 1.00pm and 3.00pm where we will answer all of your questions and make sure you feel confident, comfortable and excited about your graduation. You will need to book for the talks, but can just pop along to the exhibition. The talks take place in the Peter Williams Lecture Theatre, with the exhibition just outside it.

Book here to attend a session.
