The University recently welcomed Mr David Ruebain, Chief Executive of the Equality Challenge Unit, to the campus.
University hosts Equality Challenge Unit CEO

During his visit on Thursday 20 February 2014, he was welcomed by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Robert Burgess, and Mrs Jo Wood, Assistant Registrar.

He spent the morning in discussions with staff on the topics of equality and diversity, attendees included:

Professor Paul Cullis, Department of Chemistry

Professor Thomas Erlebach, Department of Computer Science

Ms Eleanor Jackson, Department of Cardiovascular Sciences

Professor Julian Ketley, Department of Genetics

Ms Humaa Noori, Equalities Unit

Mr Chris Sharp, Equalities Unit

Dr Alison Stuart, Department of Chemistry

Dr Kate Williams, Department of Health Sciences

He was then given a tour of the Department of Genetics by Professor Julian Ketley.

The visit was concluded with a lunch attended by Mr Ruebain, Professor Sir Robert Burgess, Professor Cullis, Ms Noori, Mr Sharp and Dr Stuart.
