High Sheriff of Leicestershire makes visit to University

During his visit on Tuesday 24 June 2014, Mr and Mrs Clowes were welcomed by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Robert Burgess, and Mrs Jo Wood, Assistant Registrar.

They then attended a lunch which was also attended by Dr Turi King of the Department of Genetics and Professor Mike Barer, Director of Research for the College of Medicine, Biological Sciences and Psychology.

They were then given a tour of the School of Archaeology and Ancient History with Professor David Mattingly, Head of the School, followed by a tour of the Department of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation by Professor Mike Barer.
