Dr Rosalind Hague

The University is saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Rosalind Hague

Rosalind (Ros) was an undergraduate here from 1994-1998, studying French and Politics. Ros then went to York, and graduated in the MA Political Philosophy (the Idea of Toleration) in 1999, before coming back to Leicester for her doctoral studies, for which she was awarded ESRC funding.

Ros wrote her PhD on feminism, autonomy and identity, and it subsequently became a book, Autonomy and Identity: The Politics of Who We Are, published by Routledge in 2011. She worked at our University as a Graduate Teaching Assistant between 2001 and 2008, and then as a Teaching Fellow at the University of Nottingham. Ros was an excellent teacher.

Since 2012, Ros has been happy and settled in her role as Senior Lecturer in Politics at Nottingham Trent University where she will be greatly missed.
