Participants should have Type 2 diabetes, be aged between 18-50 years, and not taking insulin.

Participants are required for the LYDIA study which is looking at two new diabetes medications (Liraglutide and Sitagliptin) and whether they improve heart function.

To be eligible to take part, you must:

  • Have Type 2 diabetes
  • Be aged between 18-50 years
  • Not be taking insulin

Unfortunately if you are already on these medications or related drugs (Exenatide/Bydureon/Saxagliptin/Vildglitptin/Linagliptin) you will not be able to take part.

If you would like to find out more, please contact Dr Sarah Edwards from the research team via 0116 258 8637 or LYDIA@le.ac.uk.
