If you are an academic staff member who has worked with students with mental health problems, please share your experiences.

In recent years, there has been increasing awareness of mental health problems amongst university students, however, there is little research into academics’ perspectives of mental health issues amongst their students.

Dr Sara Spear and Dr Yvette Morey of the Faculty of Business & Law, University of the West of England are conducting a research study exploring academics’ experiences and perceived role in working with students with mental health problems, and would like to invite academic staff at our University to participate in an online survey as part of their research.

If you are an academic member of staff who has worked with students with mental health problems, the researchers would like you to share your experiences.

The survey will be anonymous and will take 15-20 minutes to complete. You can take the survey here.

Further details of the research can be found here, or please contact Dr Sara Spear and Dr Yvette Morey, Faculty of Business & Law, University of the West of England, via: 0117 3287658 or: sara.spear@uwe.ac.uk
