Staff invited to a presentation on Wednesday 22 April by the project manager

From Monday 27 April 2015 Danaher & Walsh, a sub-contractor to Willmott Dixon currently building the new Centre for Medicine,  will be conducting works to improve traffic and pedestrian safety at the Lancaster Road/University Road Junction. The works  will result in the junction being fully closed from Monday 29 June 2015 for up to 2 weeks.   The Peace Walk Cycle Route will also be closed for a longer period.   These works are a statutory planning requirement for the Centre for Medicine project but they will significantly enhance the junction for pedestrians.  The schedule has been set by Leicester City Council Highways Department and so cannot be changed.

As these works will be disruptive to all users of the junction we would like to invite University Staff to a briefing session to be given by our Centre for Medicine Project Manager, Dave Vernon to explain how traffic will be affected and to answer any queries and concerns.   The session will be held in the Rattray Lecture Theatre at 2:00 pm next Wednesday, 22 April 2015.

If you would like to know more about the works the Estates Project Manager will be giving a presentation in the Rattray Lecture Theatre at 2:00pm on Wednesday 22 April 2015.
