Following the closure of the Fielding Johnson car park last year, we are pleased to announce that work to transform it into a central campus square begins in May.

From the 16 May, work will start on the redevelopment of the old car park to create a fantastic central campus square which we will be able to use for major events, open days, student fairs and create a much improved environment at the heart of our campus.

Prior to the main works beginning we will be removing all the trees in the area on Saturday 9 April, but they will be replaced, with at least ten new semi-mature trees being planted as part of the new square.

The redevelopment will start in 16 May, and the entire area cordoned off, with work continuing through to September 2016.

There will be no noisy works during the exam period, and while there may be some short-term disruption, the end result will be a beautiful new square at the centre of campus which will provide an immediate improvement to both staff and student experience.
