Remember, it is more important than ever to make your papers Open Access.  The author accepted manuscripts of all journal articles or conference papers that are accepted for publication on or after 1 April 2016 must be made Open Access or they will be ineligible for the next REF.

It really is simple to make your author accepted manuscripts Open Access.  You can do this in three easy steps:

  1. Log on to IRIS at https://iris.le.ac.uk/login.html
  2. Create a simple publication record
  3. Upload your manuscript

We have created a short video to show you how:

Please record details of all your publications in IRIS as this provides essential information on the University’s research activity as a whole; including your accepted manuscripts is essential for journal articles and conference proceedings and highly desirable for other types of publication.
