There is a huge amount of volunteering activity here at the University and our student community here have told us some of the many reasons they love to volunteer:

  • To give something back and make a difference
  • Share skills and learn new ones
  • Connect with others and the community
  • Enhance their mind and body, including their confidence and self-esteem
  • Advance their career and increase their employability
  • Overall have fun and enjoy something different

Volunteering comes in many forms at the University, whether it's giving blood, doing fundraising and helping in the community to being a Committee Member on a student group, a Course Representative or a Peer Mentor and much more. We’ve got something for everyone, so please encourage your students to join this Volunteering Week and find their cause!
