The 2018 round of the University Distinguished Teaching Fellowship scheme is now open. Submit your application for consideration in time for the deadline on Monday 9 April at 12 noon

University Distinguished Teaching Fellowships (UDTF) promote, reward and celebrate excellence in teaching and related activities that support and enhance the Leicester student experience.

This is the fifteenth year of the scheme. In 2017, three members of staff submitted applications demonstrating they were deserving of a Fellowship. Their awards were conferred at the Degree Congregations, with each recipient receiving a reward of £3,000.

The Fellowships are an important element in the University’s recognition and encouragement of good teaching. The University seeks to recognise excellence in teaching wherever it is found, and the scheme is open to all employees of the University in academic, research, teaching-only and learning support roles.
