This years University Distinguished Teaching Fellowship scheme nominations are now open. Submit your application for consideration in time for deadline on Wednesday 26 April at 12 noon!

The University Distinguished Teaching Fellowships (UDTF) promote, reward and celebrate excellence in teaching and related activities that support and enhance the Leicester student experience.

The Fellowships were previously known as University Teaching Fellowships but have been renamed to University Distinguished Teaching Fellowships for 2015 onwards to more accurately reflect their status.

This is the 13th year of the scheme. In 2015, six members of staff submitted applications demonstrating they were deserving of a Fellowship. Their awards were conferred at the Degree Congregations, with each recipient receiving a reward of £3,000.

The Fellowships are an important element in the University’s recognition and encouragement of good teaching. The University seeks to recognise excellence in teaching wherever it is found, and the scheme is open to all employees of the University in academic, research, teaching-only and learning support roles.
