Understanding faith needs on campus

We're asking you to fill out a survey on understanding faith related needs on campus.

This guest post from Kate Williams - DPVC Equalities, and Amy Moran - Students' Union President, asks all of our staff and students to fill out a survey which helps us understand the future need for faith-based facilities on campus. So without further ado, over to Kate and Amy.

We are proud to sit at the heart of one of the UK’s most diverse and dynamic cities and are home to a diverse local and international student and staff population. We are launching a survey to find out more about the range of faiths that are followed across our campus, and the ways in which our current facilities are used. We want to gather feedback and your view so we can enhance the provision of inclusive and high quality facilities for people of all faiths.

The results of the survey will inform our long-term campus development plan, which you may have heard about recently. If you would like to find out more about our plans, please visit our campus development webpages.

We would be grateful if you would take five minutes of your time to complete our survey. By doing so, you have the opportunity to be entered into a prize draw to win Here For U vouchers.

The survey can be accessed by clicking the following address https://leicester.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/understandingfaithrelatedneedsoncampus.

All responses will be collated and analysed in the strictest of confidence by the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team.

If you have any questions regarding this survey or require assistance in completing it please do not hesitate to contact equalities@le.ac.uk.

If you would like to comment on our campus redevelopment plans more generally, please email info@uolestates.co.uk or call the consultation team on 08456 026 473.

The survey will be open until 19 January 2018.

We look forward to hearing your views and suggestions

With best wishes

Dr Kate Williams – Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Amy Moran – Students’ Union President
