Improve your coaching skills with our Organisational Development team.

The Organisational Development team are dedicated to enhancing our staff member performance, building our future capabilities and developing the skills and knowledge of all of our staff members.

Our University needs us all to lead with our natural, unique talents. For some of us coaching is our chosen way of leading; even if it’s not your preferred style, it’s useful to have the flexibility to use coaching techniques when this will get the best out of the colleagues you are leading.

By attending ‘The Coaching Leader’ one day workshop, you will learn how you can feel more comfortable coaching colleagues in day-to-day leadership situations. For example you could be helping colleagues develop more confidence and better skills, leading to greater motivation and performance on the job.

This workshop will give you an introduction to the theory of coaching, provide practical support and refresh your skills in building rapport, listening, questioning and providing feedback. It is a ‘hands on’ workshop providing two opportunities to practise your skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Dates of workshops

  • Friday 23 February, 9:30am - 4pm, at Brookfield
  • Wednesday 18 April, 9:30am - 4pm, on main campus (exact location TBC)
