Climate change is one of the most pressing issues facing humanity. At the University, we recognise the importance of both leading the solution and avoiding contributing to it.

If your academic work relates to climate change, please complete this short survey by Friday 10 January. Our aim is to capture as much data as possible to give us a multi-disciplinary sense of what’s going on.

We have a strong pedigree of climate change research and teaching and are well regarded in the sustainability sector. We know there are so many climate change related projects taking place across the University and we really want to gain a bigger picture of all the great work being done. Our ambition is for Leicester to be a world leader in environmental sustainability both academically and operationally.

Here’s a snapshot of our work so far:

  • Delivering ambitious operational targets to reduce our negative environmental impact
  • We’ve already met our 2020 target to reduce absolute carbon emissions by 25%

How you can get involved:

  • Complete the survey by 10 January if your academic work relates to climate change
  • Are you part of various different projects related to climate change? Please email the Social Impact Team
  • Are you supervising students undertaking climate change-related projects? Please forward the survey to them

Please email the Social Impact Team to find out more.
