The University and County Council are putting on a joint summit aimed at tackling social isolation.

On 30 November, our Unit for Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement are putting on a joint summit with Leicestershire County Council. This aims to bring together local and national initiatives, people and organisations working to tackle loneliness and social isolation in Leicestershire.

The summit is being held at College Court and will include a number of keynote speakers, including Neil O’Brien MP for Harborough District who will be speaking about the Government’s All-Party Parliamentary Group on Loneliness.

The summit, which begins at 9.30am and concludes at 3.30pm, will allow participants to learn, share good practice, and encourage agencies to work together towards effective, collaborative local action.

Sign up for the event by Friday 16 November on the website. If you would like any more information about the event, please email Michael Rose.
